4 Stars solar motion-activated halogen floodlight
have only had it up for a little over a month. comes on as it is supposed MOST of the time, though sometimes when it should come on, it does not! haven’t figured that out yet, but then, living in the seattle area and with all the OUTRAGEOUS weather we have had lately (first two weeks of november, 2006), it may be a weather related issue. when it works it is fantastic!
1 Star Battery very weak
The battery on this light doesn’t hold a charge very well. After 3 full days of charging in the sun, the light will only work for less than 10 minutes before the unit dies. I also bought a Brookstone light, which is much better than this one.
1 Star Terrible seller experience
I ordered this item over a week ago. It said the product is in stock. A whole week has passed and this item hasn’t even shipped, let alone be delivered. No matter how the item performs when it finally arrives–if it does–I can’t see how one could possibly rate the experience any higher than below acceptable. If you must buy this category of product and need something fairly quickly, forget this seller and go get it elsewhere.
5 Stars Great Way to “Go Green”
This product is pretty good, but since it utilizes solar engery, please be advised that the product MUST charge for at least 3 days prior to use. Also, the light doesn’t shine as bright as the traditional model, but it certainly provides enough to see. All in all, it’s a good purchase since it won’t increase your utility bill and it’s a good way to “go green”.

4 Stars Soft blue light
Second one I have purchased. Instead of waiting up to three days for the sun to charge the batteries, I put them in a battery charger. Remember, this is a solar powered LED light. The only thing I can add is that i don’t have to pay for it to be on, even if it is not dark.
4 Stars Nice glow
Nice light, it’s more of a glow than a spot light. I’m sure the 80 bulb light is much brighter, but this one will do.
5 Stars I love it so far
I just installed this yesterday. I’m very happy that it uses AA batteries, which can be found just about anywhere these days. I bought this to replace a similar item that uses a hard-to-find battery and non-LED lights. The battery on that one died after a year. The old one was slightly brighter but not enough to be worth the extra initial cost and the cost of replacing the battery. I think I’m going to be very happy with this one.
