4 Stars THIS IS A MISPRINT !! ACTUALLY MORE WATTS
This Coleman unit is rated at 600ma and a total power of 9 Watts. Buyers will be pleasantly surprised. The fair price for weatherproof solar panels is $10/watt…so this one qualifies although has been discontinued. My lack of a full five stars is because Coleman seems to overrate their panels by about 20%…or else they take it down to the equator to measure the power.
4 Stars Solar Panel
The unit is more or less what I expected and appears to be working well for my application as a trickle charger for my deep-cycle marine battery operating an ornamental iorn entry gate. This unit DOES NOT work with the Sunsei Solar Grip bracket which is listed as working with the Coleman Solar Panels (both are ICP Solar products); the bracket extexsions are not long enough. I was able to frabricate a simple clamp for the panel which did work with the bracket however.

About Malibu Solar Lights and Light Kits
Solar lighting is the safest and easiest kind of outdoor lighting to install. It provides sufficient light for entrances, walkways, steps, or to indicate the location of dark obstacles. This kit features a solar collector panel that converts sunlight into electrical energy. This energy is stored in rechargeable batteries that are used to illuminate the fixtures at night. Most solar products use LED (Light Emitting Diodes) as a light source because of their low power consumption and long life. LEDs are not replaceable, but their life expectancy typically exceeds 25 years, running 10 hours every night.

1 Star Disappointing
The light shed by these lights was a barely 4 inch circle, not enough to illuminate anything. At best, these are accent lights, and even there they are questionable. I was horribly disappointed, as i wanted them to light a walkway.
5 Stars Outstanding
I’ve had these lights now for about 3 months. They add much character to our walkway/garden. They hold a charge very well, (at least 8 to 10 hours), and setting the single solar panel is a plus as you only need to find “one” sunny spot, to charge all 4 lights, which assures that all the lights maintain the same level of brightness thru the night. “AA” rechargeable batteries means i can easily replace when needed. Great product!
4 Stars Let them charge for a while for best results
I purchased 2 sets of these for $35 and am thrilled with the results. At first when I plugged them in, later that night, there was not hardly any light emmited from them, but I remembered from the other reviewer that you needed to let them charge longer, so I turned them off and let them have another 2 whole days in the sun before turning them on again at night, this time they had just the right amount of light, they look beautiful not cheapy looking at all, the color and quality of the rubbed oil finish is very nice. Another feature I really like is that since I purchased 2 sets I can link all 8 with just 1 solar panel. Overall this set exceeded my expectations.
1 Star I was so hopeful
that these lights would work in a shaded spot since the separate solar panel could be placed in the sun.
But after ordering 2 of these sets and setting them up, we found that the company sent the smallest size battery that could be used, and not the size that was recommended for this item.
After the panel sat in direct sun all day, we still had no glow, i put the batteries into a charger, charged them fully and we waited for the light, when dark came, the light given off by these was barely a tiny spotlight, from across the street you couldnt even tell we had any lights on.
Simply put, this is not an item i would recommend and in fact returned it.
4 Stars It’s OK, but can be more bright
I bought two sets of these at discount price. When they arrived, I tested them outside for two days and they worked well. I wish they could be more bright, but for this good price I couldn’t complain too much. Now I put them back to the box and store in the garage. I will start using them next spring.

The Sunsei solar grip provides a flexible mounting option for the Sunsei SE400 solar panel or the Coleman CL300 panel. It conveniently provides both pole and deck mounting grips to avoid drilling into the roof of your vehicle or boat or into your deck or fence. The SolarGrip rotates 360 degrees to maximize your panel’s output by positioning your panel right at the sun. Use this grip with boats, RVs, farm machinery, electric fences, and more — it will mount just about anywhere. The box includes a 7/8-inch pole/rail mount, 1 deck clamp, 1 solar panel mounting assembly, and 1 multi-angle positioning arm. It is covered by a 2-year warranty.

4 Stars Solar Grip
This is a well made product and comes with enough mounting accessories to satisy most applications. I recommend this product, but it DOES NOT work with the COLEMAN CL-600 Solar Charger (both are ICP Solar products) as advertised. The COLEMAN CL-600 is several inches too long for this bracket. I was able to frabicate a simlple clamp for the panel which worked so I kept the mounting bracket and it is working well.
3 Stars Agree in general with other reviews
This bracket is expensive given the quality of the bracket. However, there are several versions of clamps included which is great….if they fit your needs. Like the other reviewer says, if your application requires a bigger size, these will do you no good. The included clamps should have bigger ranges and tolerances to be more adaptable. I would buy this again, as it is simpler than building something myself.
3 Stars Sunsei Solar Grip Solar Panel Mounting Bracket #SE-SG1 (
I’m using this on my boat like advertised but am baffled by the small size of clamp included for the stern pulpit on my boat. Almost all boats have 1 inch dia. pulpits and stantions. This is 3/4″ or less. It’s useless. However I did use the other with limited success.

4 Stars malibu outdoor ,one light solar powered metal lanterns
The reviews I read mentioned the short time these lanterns stay on at night, well in the northeast we don’t have much daytime uv in the fall and winter, so they preformed as expected, on for a couple of hours at dusk. I expect that next spring and summer they will be on for most of the night. What I didn’t expect and was pleased about it, was the beautiful light pattern that the glass cover produces on my deck. Over all with the understanding that these lamps are basically spring summer outdoor lamps, I’m pleased with the purchase and they are well worth the money I paid for them.
5 Stars Attractive
This solar lantern need to be placed in a sunny location. The light itself has a very pleasant color- pale bluish white- and is an attractive shape. I like the fact that the batteries can be charged by the user if the clouds are around for days.
3 Stars Garden Lights
These are beautiful to see during the day but give out very little light at night.
2 Stars Not worth it.
These lamps are very cute, but they don’t stay lit for very long.
Maybe a couple of hours at the most. Would not purchase again.
2 Stars Pretty but don’t really work!
I placed these lights on my porch, on the north side of my house, in wintertime. Even on the brightest, sunniest day, they don’t get enough sunlight (due to the low angle of the sun in winter)to light them for more than 30 minutes at dusk. I can’t imagine them staying lit for ten hours. Very disappointing. They should not have to be placed in full direct sunlight all day every day in order to light for longer than a few minutes.
It gets dark around 4:30pm here in winter - by the time I get home at 6:30 (and really need the lights!) they have already shut off.
Attractive to look at but almost completely non-functional for the purpose I bought them to fulfill.
