This security flood light has 9 LEDs that are powered via an integrated glass protected solar panel and rechargeable batteries. The solar panel comes complete with a 20-foot cord for remotely locating it in direct sunlight. A 180 degree motion detector ensures security for your garage exterior, deck, driveway, back yard or walkway. A dial controls light duration, while a second dial controls motion sensor sensitivity. The battery capacity allows the light to stay on for fifty 30 second cycles on a full charge. The light head and motion sensor have vertical and horizontal adjustment.

5 Stars one small bug…
Ok, first let me say that i have these on a lightly wooded 3.5 acre lot.. only in the back so call it 2 acres. I have the perimeter lined with 10 of these units and just ordered 10 more. The range of the motion sensor..is about 30-40 feet. I think the amount of light is good for a solar light. Mounting was easy, I do agree that there is not a lot of flexiblity but I didnt need any just hung them up. But here is one minor thing.. there does not seem to be any photo cell.. in other words.. these lights dont seem to know when its dark outside.. so they come on during the day when they see motion.. isnt this a waste of the batteries? I guess that adding a photo cell to fix this would add cost and be another thing that could break and lower reliablity.. so i still gave this light 5 stars..

4 Stars Inexpensive yet reliable
For the price this is an adequate light. Be aware that it’s illumination is typical of this type of bulb. Yet, it is reliable. The solar panel is not secure in it’s holder but, this is of rather small consequence to it’s over all functioning.

3 Stars not very flexible
this works as advertised, but it is not very flexible= the head does not tip down very far, and you can’t mount it upside down. To work around it, I mounted it face down which worked. Note that with the batteries included if you keep it set to stay on for a long time, it will kill the batteries quickly. One really nice thing is that the included rechargeable AA batteries are easily replaced/ upgraded to more powerful ones.

Side note- the head is rather large to accommodate a reflector, but since LEDs are a very directional light source, I don’t know how much extra output the reflector does other than make it bigger….

Motion Activated Solar Floodlight is designed to reduce Energy bills. The Solar panel recharges the battery to ensure that the 13 watt Halogen bulb comes on every time. The Motion Sensor then controls when the light comes on and provides security to the consumer. The combination of both of these technologies create one of the best products in the market today.

1 Star Poor Quality
It worked great for a month and then died. The quality is poor and I would avoid it. It is a waste of money. I tried to get it fixed but that was a dead end. Look for a different solar light that is rated better than this.

1 Star great customer service, but poorly made product
As with the other posts, my first one worked until it rained. Once it rained, it began to blink on and off continuously. I had to manually turn it off. They sent me a second one and it worked great, until the next rain. It did the same exact thing, except only blink rapidly when motion was detected. I bought it at Lowe’s and am out of the 90-day return policy. So I emailed the company for a refund letter to Lowe’s, or a replacement so I can put one INSIDE my shed.

3 Stars worked for a while…
It worked great for about a year then started making very odd clicking noises and wouldn’t work. I’m just assuming it’s the battery. I thought of replacing it, but it’s nearly impossible to order a replacement battery! Just nuts…

5 Stars Cooper Solar Floodlight
GET THIS GREAT LIGHT. I read all the poor reviews, but they are wrong. I bought this light at Lowes, missed the sale, but bought it anyway. I placed it about 10 feet up on a barn, pointing down to a nearby gate to my dog pen. I spliced in some extra wire from the solar charger to the light, the light and charger are about 25 feet apart. The solar panel is attached to a South wall of the barn and gets lots of sunlight. I have had this for six months, and it works wonderful. I have set the motion detector pointing up high, so the dogs will not set it off very often. I have adjusted the sensitivity also to keep the dogs from setting it off very often. I need the light to come on when I unlatch the pen gate at night. I have it latched in three places, so it is not a quick job, expecially with excited wet noses pushing up against it. This light has never failed me, even in heavy rain. I may need to wave my arms a bit, to make it come back on after shutting off, but that is no problem at all. The primary thing that I need is the light to be bright to let me unlatch the gate, and then when I am leaving the pen, I hook up three of my dogs onto leashes (is that the way to spell it) and I need the light to let me find their collar rings to latch onto. Then, with the three dogs outside, pulling on me, I need the light to be bright to let me latch back the gate at the three places, to keep in the dogs that I leave behind inside the pen. I notice that the dogs do sometimes set off the light when they are jumping around by the gate, but not often enough to ever run down the battery. The light has never failed me. However, I must admit, when I first spliced in the longer wire between the solar panel and the light, I reversed the wires, and the light did not charge very well. I then switched the wires, after about a week, and it made a huge difference. Once I did have a correct connection, the LIGHT HAS ALWAYS CHARGED AND WORKED EVERY TIME THAT I NEEDED IT. This is a bright light, and it is excellent. I have had this working very well for six months so I decided it was time to enter my review. GET THIS LIGHT, IT WILL SERVE YOU WELL.

1 Star Beware of this product
I bought this and installed it. Easy installation, looks impressive. It started flashing off and on and I haven’t been able to use it since. I do not have any contact information to get technical help in learning why this occurs. So now it does not work at all.

I am dissappointed that a product as simple as a light bulb cannot be sucessfully operated with solar technology.
