4 Stars Smaller than I thought it would be.
It is a nice globe. Never have to worry about it. Doesn’t need much sun to charge. Doesn’t blow around in extreme weather, never leaves base. Mine happens to be filthy right now & it still works. It is just a lot smaller than I pictured it on the amazon site.

5 Stars fantastic

1 Star not as expected
This looks nothing like the picture. It does glow in diff colors but it very difficult to see the colors even though fully charged. Not worth the money at all. The floating color changing ball is much better get that one.

1 Star No size info
I don’t have a review. I was thinking of buying one but it doesn’t say how big it is.I have a feeling it’s very tiny.

4 Stars Really nice!
These lights are very nice. They are pretty and last a good while. I have had 6 of them for several years now, and still enjoy them very much. Of course, as with any item like this, some are going to short out. Of the 6, I’ve had two die on me recently; I believe the bulbs have shorted out. So now I have 4 left, and if I could figure out a way to fix or change the bulbs, I’d love to.

To the person who “reviewed” for no reason other than to mention he/she was thinking of buying them but thought they would be tiny, they aren’t tiny at all. They are actually about 16 inches tall from base (not including spike) to top, and the lighted part is about 11-12 inches of that. The “bubble” effect is also very cool. Only problem is they don’t last as long after you own them awhile. When I first bought them, they’d still on until about 5 or 6 in the morning; now, they last until about 2. If you want a really bright solar light that doesn’t fade, try the Starburst LED color change lights - however, they only change from red to blue to green, but they are quite bright.

My only complaint is price. C’mon, it’s a solar light! Just to buy enough to line the sidewalk could cost you hundreds of dollars at this price. I haven’t bought them from this company myself, as I had bought a bunch of them for myself and for gifts when they were super cheap in the Solutions catalog, before Solutions quit carrying them.

Anyway, give this light a try if you can find it cheaper. It’s definitely eye-catching and worth having in your yard!

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Just what I needed
I purchased this item to decorate a tree at the cemetary for Christmas—It worked every night—— Just what I wanted it to.

5 Stars Save on Electric
Every year at Christmas, my light bill goes up. Considering all the other extra expenses at Christmas, this is a time to find ways to save money while still enjoying Christmas.

I looked into solar Christmas lights and thought I would give this a try. I’m glad I did. The lights are smaller than I thought they would be, but they glow brightly enough to be seen from the street, which is the whole point. I particularly like the colors.

The description says the lights flash or twinkle, but the bottom of the unit says flashing or solid. I would have liked the twinkle lights, but flashing looks very nice.

I’ll be getting another set for next year.

5 Stars 7 DAYS AND 7 NIGHTS
Awesome

This is the best solar light ever.

I bought this light to use in my yard but when I received it and see that is works with a rechargeable AA battery I had to experiment and it WORKS.

I put the light in my house and I cut a piece of cardboard and paste it over the face of the unit so it won’t charge the battery.

I put in a regular AA Duracell battery and put it to flash mode and it FLASH FOR 7 DAYS AND 7 NIGHTS before the battery went dead. Believe it I was amaze. So I am using it indoor and replace one AA battery every week. What more than that could you ask for. No electricity and my lights work perfectly.

If you cover the solar panel and leave the small glass like bump open and you have enough sunlight in your home then it will turn off during the day and on in the night. The battery will last double the time.

Make sure if you buy its the one with the Changeable AA battery.

2 Stars Nice Ideas, but it is far from bright enough
I have been wanting to hang Christmas lights for years but the wiring to outdoor always irks me. Finally, LED + solar power has elegantly addressed such concern. At least theoretically. While the light looks beautiful indoor, its outdoor performance is rather pale. My neighbors traditional lights quickly drown my lights with their brightness. With 50 lights, spreading them over 3 feet would not be feasible as they are just too weak to be beautiful.
