4 Stars Great for the money
I shopped around a while for these type of lights for my deck. For the money, these are well worth it. I was surprised to see they were plastic, but the charge holds really well and a lot brighter than I thought they would be. I did have an issue since my posts have a point on them, I have to file them down to attached them directly onto the post.

There is nothing wrong with these lights whatsoever.
They are advertised as plastic and with A white LED. That’s what they are and that’s what you’ll get. They are “cheap” in that they are inexpensive, and again, that’s what they are. I have problems with people buying things for how they are advertised and knocking them for being what they are advertised as.
Very easy to install with 3 ways to install. The frosting gives it a nice soothing moonlight type glow.
Great and well worth the money. Installed around September 2k8 and still a nice bright (enough) white light.

I am very pleased with the Malibu Solar Light. It casts a white light and covers apx. 3 feet. It was easy to assemble and install and worked from day one.
5 Stars solar outdoor decorative lights
I’ve looked and looked for some beautiful outdoor solar lights, especially ones that did NOT have to be stuck in the ground on a rod that never seems to stay straight! These lights are perfect, and I love putting them in different places around the front and back yard. One complaint, I bought six lights, and three of them do not hold a charge brightly and are completely dark in a few hours. Have not tried to buy another solar recharable battery, hope it’s not too difficult to find!

so these look nice in the picture, but they are brown plastic and not so nice. the led light is only ONE led, it puts out hardly any light.

3 Stars Just OK overall - replace the batteries
These are nice when they work, and look nice during the day, but the batteries that it came with were pretty bad (mine did not work). I suggest replacing them with some better NiMH rechargeable AA batteries. The light output is good for what it is, but don’t expect “bright” light as these are LED lights and run on 3 AA batteries. I think it would have been better to run on more batteries for a brighter light or a longer run-time. It didn’t take long for one of the glass domes on mine to break so it wouldn’t stay attached well, but to be fair I do not know exactly why (perhaps my son or some landscapers caused it to break). I was able to fix it by using silicon caulk to “glue” it and keep the glass from falling out. I’m a little concerned about the longevity of the lights but hopefully they will last at least a couple of years.

Nice lights that light walkway. There is an on/off swith and conduint that runs from panel to each liight. Very easy to install. Low light that is an accent not a flood light.
4 Stars Just enough to light the walkway
The lights are very low, but it was just enough to light our side yard walkway. If you are looking for something brighter, these won’t be right for you. Easy to set up and charge.
NOTE; Since I first wrote this review the price has gone way up! I paid $50 for my first set and then bought a second set in the Gold Box for $30. That is what they are worth. Not the $194.99 it is certainly selling for. Wait for them to go on sale.
3 Stars Customer service from Malibu is not good
I purchased two sets of these lights, both were DOA. I contacted Malibu for help, but they never fixed the problem. I had to buy new batteries for both, they now work, but three AA cells to power 8 bulbs, what were they thinking?? They are well made and very “cute” but are for looks only.
2 Stars Still working
I have had 2 sets of these for about 3 months. The construction is nice but the light output is too dim. They do not throw nearly as much light as I expected (had hoped for). I’m still waiting for solar/LED products to improve to become really useful. Best I’ve found are the Malibu 3-Pack Solar Landscape Plastic Flood Light Set with Remote Panel, Textured Black #LZ413 and the Malibu Outdoor Solar-Powered Tiki Torch Light, 2-Pack #LZ604R2.
