5 Stars very pleased
Bought these last year but as we were moving, we only set them up recently. We’re very pleased with them and plan to order another set, but they’re now selling for twice as much as we bought them so we’re waiting. They are very elegant and simple, the construction is solid and they look very pretty in our garden. They’re a snap to install. We prefer the white-blue light to the yellow you often find with these lights. We did replace the batteries with others of better quality.
5 Stars Great Little Lights
We have bollard lights in front of our house. It was easy to run wiring and hook-ups there. The back of the house was more difficult. These solar lights were the perfect answer and the style matches what is in front…great! I followed others’ recommendations to invest in more powerful batteries and to line the cylinder with aluminum foil. Super ideas. I was astonished that, after one day of sunshine, they lit up and have done so every night since.
5 Stars Love them!
I bought set about a week ago. I have to say, I am impressed. I have many other solar lights in my gardens but these are to light pathway to my door. The light is more than than I had expected, I am buying another set. They are great!
3 Stars Not for accent lighting
The setup instructions were clear, and the product works well. But the amount of light from each fixture is minimal. These solar lights are good for guiding someone down a driveway, but not for accent or safety lighting.
1 Star Think twice before you invest in these
I bought 2 sets of these lights about 14 months ago. After spending an afternoon setting them up, including digging and laying the wires for them, I found that they were dimly lit after a few days of charging. They never got any better. In addition, one set quit working after the first month. The second set: 1/2 the lights (2) stopped working 11 months later. They are useless and a waste of my time, finances, and aggravating to boot. I am sure many people are happy with them. I have had no luck with them and will be investing in electric lights now.

2 Stars Ehh….
I wanted something for my garage out in the back yard, thought this would be great since there is no power out there. The light works fine, for now, but it is bovious that it is not constructed well at all. It is no very bright, but enough so you don’t trip over stuff. It was very easy to install, and yes, they should have given instructions as to what to do with the metal rod. Took me a minute to figure out that it is an optional brace for the solar panel. If it cost any more, I would pay for the shipping to return it. I would NOT buy another one from this company, but DO PROMOTE the use of solar power in any way possible.
5 Stars Solar light
I purchased this light to put in our outhouse at camp in Upper Michigan.
We do not have electricity at camp and I thought this would be worth a try to get some light. Installed it this summer and it has been working fine since then. On the low setting , 5 LED’s, it gives off enough light to take care of business and even read by. The high setting, 10 LED, is better to read by and plently light to light up the outhouse. I was so pleased with how it work I purchased a second on for the storage shed.
3 Stars Decent and convenient
The light isn’t the brightest but it serves its purpose. The package was a little beat up and there was a crack on the light. Since the light works and it was only cosmetic I kept the unit. I have it in my closet since I don’t have any lights there. Having an older house I drilled a hole through the wall so I can attach the solar cell(mounted on my window)to the light inside my closet. The only thing that really bugs me is the angled adapter that plugs into the light. This made it difficult for me and I had to make a larger hole than what I expected to get the power cable through. I figure that if I re-build my room I can install this unit in my shed at a later time.
4 Stars Hit or miss
I can see why there is a dichotomy with the ratings. We purchased two of these for our detached garage. One of the lights gives off a relatively bright light, enough to find one’s way around with ease at night. The other light was not as bright. The light has a hi-lo switch, and even on the ‘hi’ setting, the dud-light gave off only a dim glow. We did not return it for another light because after the hastle of installing this light with the solar panel on the roof, it didn’t seem that important to us. For future purchasers, remember to give it a test run before installing.
1 Star Still in the dark
This was a disappointing purchase. First of all, nowhere either in the ad or on the package does it iindicate how much light it gives off. Second, my 10 x 10 shed is still relatively dark.
